About:

Carolyn is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and a dedicated engagement specialist, working with EDPA’s talent pillar. She is a graduate of Howard University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication. Carolyn’s professional interests are community engagement and strategic planning initiatives where she is able to provide experience and exposure to all communities.

Carolyn is currently pursuing a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from Alabama A&M University where she is focusing in housing and economic development. Carolyn is a junior board member for Oasis Counseling Center, Bush Hills Connections, and Birmingham Education Foundation.  She is a member of the Inaugural Class of Birmingham’s A Citizen’s Experience (ACE) Program as well as the University of Alabama at Birmingham Entrepreneurship Academy. In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and sharpening her photography skills.
